Carrick-on-Suir Lions Club’s annual Golf Classic that took place between June 26 and 29 attracted a big entry including teams from Waterford, Dungarvan and Athy Lions Clubs.

The event’s huge success is due to the work of the organising committee. The Club thanks the main sponsors Kentz Engineering, Derivan Sexton Solicitors, Tom and Delma Morrissey, Mary and Dick Lonergan, Connie Walsh and Antoinette Dunphy.

Thanks also to team and tee sponsors, the local golfers who supported the event and Carrick-on-Suir Golf Club.

The prize ceremony with entertainment by Pete McGowan and Brid Phelan went very well. Lion President Stephanie Keating presented a cheque at the event to Clancy Festival Chairman Ross Clery.
