Knit and Natter Club

The Library Knit and Natter club are running a bus again this year to the popular Craft Fair in Dublin. There are places available on the bus for anyone wishing to go. The date is Friday November 1.

The seats on the bus are €25 (deposit required to confirm a seat). You can book a seat with Ann in the library during opening hours at 052 7442075 or with Mary at 086 8298224. Last year’s trip was a fun day out and there will be a stop for a meal on the return journey.

Admittance to the Craft Fair and dinner are not included in the €25.

Summer Reading

The summer reading scheme is over for this year and medals will be presented at the end of the month. If you took part, contact Ann at 052 7442075 to confirm the time. This year’s medals were very generously sponsored by John Quirke Jewellers of Cahir.

Now that the evenings are starting to close in there will be talks of various topics in the library on some Monday evenings.

At the local Tidy Towns awards night, last Friday, Tidy Towns Chairman, Andy Moloney, and sponsor Brian Dolan of SuperValu, presented awards to local men Tony Fitzpatrick, who was winner of the best small garden, and Tom Fitzgerald, who came a close second in the best small garden category.

More photographs from the Tidy Towns local awards night will appear in The Nationalist next week.

Congratulations to all the winners.
