Ballingeary School Reunion

The Ballingeary School past pupils’ reunion weekend will take place from this weekend, starting at 8pm Friday, in Cahir House Hotel. To mark the occasion, a book “Ballingeary School House 1900 – 2013” will be launched.

The school will be open on Friday from 2pm to 6pm and on Saturday from 10am to 6pm. Local residents and family of past pupils are most welcome to come along and visit during the day on Sunday once again between 10am and 6pm for a chat and some light refreshments.

Community Lotto

Lotto results for Wednesday, September 11: No jackpot winner. Numbers drawn 5, 20, 27 and 32. There were four lucky dip winners each taking home €25: Albert O’Dwyer, Barrack St; Stephen Ryan, C/o Day Care Centre; Kathleen Marsh, C/o Day Care Centre; and Michael Hearne, Knockagh. Congratulations to all.

The next draw will take place today, Wednesday, September 18, in Cahir Day Care Centre at 12 noon. The Jackpot now stands at €5,500. Tickets are available in local shops and also at the Enterprise Centre.

Woodview News

Last month’s 50/50 Draw winners were: Mary O’Keefe, Antoinette McGee, Packie Carroll and Samantha Darcy.

Congratulations and best wishes to the new Mr and Mrs Skurdra, who recently celebrated their wedding.

Woodview Residents Association would like to offer sincere condolences to Jimmy Connors and family of 38 Woodview on the recent deaths of his brothers, Thomas and John, who died within one month of each other in England, rest in peace.
