It was a lucky Friday 13th at the National Lottery offices in Middle Abbey Street, Dublin last week as a South Tipperary couple claimed a total of €250,000 from the previous Saturday night’s Lotto Plus 2 draw.

The lucky couple, who wish to remain anonymous, bought their ticket, a €4 Quick Pick with Plus, on Saturday, September 7 in MACE at the Moangarriff roundabout in Clonmel.

The happy couple said “We still don’t believe this has happened to us but we are thrilled and excited!

We want to enjoy the moment but we will put it aside and decide at a later date what we wish to do”, they said.

Last year the National Lottery raised over €225 million for good causes. This level of funding made a significant difference to communities, projects and individuals.
