Transition and first year students at Carrick’s CBS Secondary School have created a range of mini companies and are selling their products in the run up to Christmas.

The students have set up the businesses in preparation for the Regional Student Enterprise Awards and Mini Company ‘Get up and Go’ competitions next spring.

One enterprise sells sports club colour wristbands, headbands, key rings and fridge magnets, which can be made to order. Another sells neatly covered metal containers for fireplace ashes while Welly Racks & Jacks’ creations are perfect for removing and storing wellies.

Homemade lemonade, chocolate toffee apples, themed sweet treats, hurley key holders and storage racks, oil scented candles and bird feeders are among the eclectic mix of other products the student enterprises are selling.
