Annual cycle raises more than 40,000 Euro for charity in four years

Clonmel’s emergency services hosted their annual Charity Fun Cycle last June in aid of two very worthy charities based in Clonmel. The charities that benefited were the local outreach group of The Chernobyl Children’s International Project and the Day Care Centre For The Elderly in Irishtown. This was the fourth year the emergency services have run this event and they were delighted with the great response. Over the past four years this charity cycle has raised over €70,000 to support various charities in the community.

Clonmel Gardai, Ambulance Service, Fire Brigade and Army express their appreciation to all those who took part, sponsored, volunteered and supported this event. The success of the cycle can be attributed to the generosity and support of the people of South Tipperary, particularly the businesses of the area who give so generously in this tough economic climate.
