Carrick-on-Suir’s senior citizens danced the night away at their annual Christmas party in the Carraig Hotel last week.
Up to 120 attended the Christmas bash organised and funded by Carrick-on-Suir Lions Club and the local St Vincent de Paul.
After the traditional Christmas meal of turkey, ham and Christmas pudding, the guests waltzed, foxtrotted and jived the night away to the music of Noel McCarthy, Audie Murphy and Sean Mulvaney.
A group of young volunteers from the St Colman’s St Vincent de Paul Youth Conference helped out at the function.
Among them was Jamie Torpey, who has won the Lions Club Regional Young Ambassador award for his community work.
His grandparents Patsy and Biddy Casey were among the guests at the senior citizens party.
