Young people from two Carrick-on-Suir youth groups have showcased their work at a national Foroige youth exhibition.
A makeover project for Carrick-on-Suir schools spearheaded by St. Coleman’s Youth Conference of the St Vincent de Paul and a youth exchange programme run by Carrick-on-Suir Neighbourhood Youth Project were among 141 youth citizenship projects featured at the permanent tsb Foróige Youth Expo July 1.
The Youth Expo celebrates the positive contributions young people make to society through their voluntary involvement in the Foróige Youth Citizenship programme.
Three thousand young people, aged between 10 and 18, from the the length and breadth of Ireland attended the event.
Youth Expo is organised by Foróige, Ireland’s leading youth organisation in association with permanent tsb bank.
