Carrick youth group shows senior citizens a good time

The young people of Carrick-on-Suir are doing their bit to help the town’s older citizens enjoy a rich social life with their friends.

The young people of Carrick-on-Suir are doing their bit to help the town’s older citizens enjoy a rich social life with their friends.

Members of St Colman’s St Vincent de Paul Youth Conference run monthly parties for Carrick-on-Suir’s senior citizens at the Swan GAA Club Hall.

They are pictured here with some of the guests at their most recent party.Drinks and hot food are served at the parties followed by tea and cakes. The guests danced the evening away to music performed by local musicians.

Transport is provided to and from the Swan Hall for the senior citizens.

St Colman’s St Vincent de Paul Youth Conference has 42 members and meets every Friday at 7pm in Carrick-on-Suir Heritage Centre.

The Conference says new members are always welcome.
