Arravale and Galtees was a knockout night

The Arravale Rovers fundraising White Collar Boxing with Galtee Rover’s St Pecaune in Aherlow House Hotel last Saturday night was a huge success.

The club would like to thank everyone who helped to make it a night to remember for both clubs. We also thank Tadgh Duggan and his backroom team along with Noel Browne and Colin Morrissey for their contribution.

Congratulations to Pierce Richardson and the Tipperary U21 Football team who defeated Clare in the Munster semi-final. Our Junior hurling team played Emly in the County league.

Despite losing our boys put in a good effort. Our club lotto is €5000 and you can purchase your from any committee member. The West Minor Football Championship is starting next week so all players are asked to put in a huge effort in training.

Arravale Rovers Juveniles

Arravale Rovers Under 12 Footballers all played competitive matches on Sunday last March 23.

First off the B team played a strong Cappawhite/Solohead team who really put it up to the boys. On the day, Cappawhite/Solohead just were that bit stronger than Arravale but the team never gave up and tried till the end. The final score was Cappawhite/Solohead 5.7 Arravale Rovers 2.1

Arravale Rovers Under 12 A Team also faced a fierce Cappawhite/Solohead side. Arravale had most of the ball and found their scores easier to get. The defence played well with every body working very hard for the victory. It was comfortable in the finish although the boys were made to put in a huge effort to seal the win. The final score was Arravale Rovers 4.5 Cappawhite/Solohead 1.6.

The U12 C team played for the first time this season against Clonoulty Rossmore. It was an enormous challenge as the boys were rusty. Although they performed as best they could the result did not show it and Clonoulty Rossmore ran out clear winners.
