Cuardaiocht: We hope to hold our next “Gathering of the Neighbours” on this Thursday, 8th November at 8pm in Ardmayle Church. This is not a talk, lecture or official function. There will be no chairperson or leader. It will simply follow the old rural tradition of a few people getting together to spend a couple of hours at night, reminiscing, telling yarns, tracing or discussion topics of local interest. All are welcome to attend and either just listen or make a contribution to the discussion.

Juvenile GAA: Well done to our U10 footballers who did very well in a blitz last Saturday morning in Dr. Morris Park. We had two teams participating. Team 1 beat Loughmore and JK Brackens but were defeated by Cappawhite, while Team 2 were victors over Cappawhite and Clonakenny and drew against Upperchurch. Thanks to their mentors and parents and to the players themselves for their commitment on such a cold day. We wish those involved in the U13 development sessions which are been held at the moment all the best with this opportunity. Finally, tickets for the centenary social are available from any club officer, an enjoyable night is guaranteed and demand for tickets is very high.

Boherlahan Dualla Historical Journal: The 15th issue of the Boherlahan Dualla Historical Journal will be launched by Anne Leamy in the Parochial Hall, Boherlahan on this Friday night, 9th November at 8.30pm. The Journal has a variety of articles, enriched with plenty of photographs and maps. It is an essential read in every household, both for now and for future generations. It can also be a vital link between our emigrants and parish. The cost of the Journal is 10 euro. Come along to Boherlahan Parish Hall for a wonderful evening of inspiration, entertainment and friendship.
