Busy times at Arravale Rovers - Scor, dinner/dance, football and boxing!

Arravale Rovers held our club Scór competition last week and our sincere thanks to everyone who took part- parents/guardians and teachers/schools and the Brigid Whelan School of Dancing for all your help.

Congratulations to the following boys and girls who will be representing Arravale Rovers in the West Final of Scór next Sunday, February 23, at 1.30pm in the Marian Hall.

High Call: Captain Sarah Farrell, Ciara Bowes, Laura Merrigan, Chloe Flanagan, Alyson Kelly, Ellen Corby, Clodagh Kavanagh and Ciara Ryan.Solo Singer: Caoimhe Carey. Recitation: Kate O’Connor. Quiz Team: (Team of 3 plus 1 sub) Brian Tuohy (Captain), Will Hogan, Lucy McCormack and Eleanor McCahill (Sub).

Everyone is having a great time playing hurling and football.

New players are more than welcome to attend training each Saturday morning.

Training: Juvenile training continues each Saturday morning from 10 to 12. U14 Football - Monday evenings at 7 to 8.15pm. 

U12 football is starting Tuesdays 7 to 8pm and U14 hurling gets underway every Thursday from 7 to 8.15pm. U16 Football is also staring on Friday evenings from 4pm.

Arravale Rovers annual dinner dance is booked for February 22 in Aherlow House at a cost of €25 per person.

On Sunday our Senior footballers played Ardfinnan in the first round of the county league. After a solid performance we came out on top with two points to spare.

Final score Arravale Rovers 1-8 Ardfinnan 9pts.

White Collar Boxing is coming to Aherlow House Hotel on Saturday. March 22 at 7.30pm with Arravale Rovers vs. Galtee Rover’s so book your tickets now through any committee member.
