The Presentation Primary School, Clonmel celebrated its Bicentenary Gala Ball at Hotel Minella last month.
While the main purpose of the event was to raise funds to provide much-needed parking facilities for parents, the Presentation schools and community had plenty of reasons to celebrate, as the schools are celebrating 200 years of education provided by the Presentation Sisters in Clonmel.
Another reason to celebrate came when the Vatican declared Nano Nagle, the founder of the Presentation Order, to be venerable, ensuring the second step to canonisation.
260 people attended and enjoyed a great night. The school is very grateful to all the local businesses who sponsored tables and encouraged others, with no real connections with the school, to support the initiative.
The school also thanks the many businesses and those who were unable to attend the ball but who made donations.
