Bereavements
We extend sympathy to Mrs. Margaret Murphy of Corbally, Drangan, on the recent death of her mother Mrs. Margaret Lawlor of Banteer, Co. Cork. Margaret’s husband Matt has a long history of fund raising for various clubs in the parish especially the GAA and Drangan Community Centre of which Matt has been a committee member for several years. May she rest in peace.
We also extend sympathy to the Horan Families of Knockura and Newtown on the recent death in Birmingham of Mr. Pat Horan. A native of Knockura where his brother Tommy still resides Pat was a successful businessman in his adopted home. Pat’s sister Mossy O’Carroll spent many years as a hard working secretary of Drangan Community and still helps out with the running of the fortnightly Whist Drives on Monday nights and the weekly 25 drives on Thursday nights. The Horans have a long association with the GAA as players and supporters. May he rest in peace.
