There was no jackpot winner on Tuesday, January 14, There were four match three winners who won €25 each. T. O’Brien, A Pollard, J.O’Dwyer and P.J. Morris. The Jackpot will be €2,600 for our next draw on Tuesday, January 28.

Slievenamon Harriers This Sunday, January 26, we will meet in Lismolin for our 16th meet of the season, starting at 11am.
Slievenamon Echoes We are looking for submissions for inclusion in the next edition of Slievenamon Echoes. All submissions need to be sent in before February 28. Submissions may be left to the Post Offices in Cloneen or Drangan or emailed to email@example.com
Bereavements We extend sympathy to Mrs. Margaret Murphy of Corbally, Drangan, on the recent death of her mother Mrs. Margaret Lawlor of Banteer, Co. Cork. Margaret’s husband Matt has a long history of fund raising for various clubs in the parish especially the GAA and Drangan Community Centre of which Matt has been a committee member for several years. May she rest in peace. We also extend sympathy to the Horan Families of Knockura and Newtown on the recent death in Birmingham of Mr. Pat Horan. A native of Knockura where his brother Tommy still resides Pat was a successful businessman in his adopted home. Pat’s sister Mossy O’Carroll spent many years as a hard working secretary of Drangan Community and still helps out with the running of the fortnightly Whist Drives on Monday nights and the weekly 25 drives on Thursday nights. The Horans have a long association with the GAA as players and supporters. May he rest in peace.
GAA Fixtures This Sunday, January 26, our U21 footballers play our first championship game of 2014 in Kilsheelan at 12noon, against a Grangemockler / Carrick Davins combination. On Saturday, March 8, U16 footballers play Ballingarry at 12noon in Fethard. Saturday, March 29, U12 footballers play Killenaule at 11am in Killenaule. U12 fixtures will then continue each Tuesday evening from Tuesday, April 1. On Thursday, April 3, U14 footballers play Moyle Rovers in Monroe at 6.15pm.
GAA AGM The AGM of St. Patrick’s GAA club took place on December 30. It was decided that our minor and under 21 hurlers and footballers would once again join up with Fethard for the coming year and again would be called Anner Gaels.
Our minor team will be trained by; John Moroney, Tony O‘Brien and Colm Dunne while the under 21s will be trained by Tomas McCormack. Our junior hurlers and footballers will be managed by Michael Nash and Eugene McCormack.
