GAA
On Saturday last our u21 football game was postponed as a mark of respect to the late Michael McGrath of The Big Sycamore Garage in Grangemockler, who died following an accident while working in his garage. Michael was a selector when St. Patrick’s and Grangemockler amalgamated at minor level a few years ago and his son Wayne was a member of that panel. We extend sympathy to his wife Kathryn, his son Wayne and his sister-in-law Ann Brett of Knockroe, Drangan. This Saturday our u21 team travel to Ballylooby for a 3pm throw in against Fr. Sheehys/ Ballylooby.
Due to the bad weather our Co. League game against Rockwell Rovers was postponed.
Our u12 footballers will play their first game on this Saturday, March 1, and will continue each weekend from then on. This Saturday’s game will be against Killenaule at 3pm in Killenaule. On Saturday, March 8, our u16 footballers play Ballingarry at 12pm in Fethard.

Recent Bereavement: We extend the sympathy of St. Patrick’s GAA Club to the Crannitch family, Ballinard, on the death of Michael Crannitch. Michael served as a selector with several of our underage teams and his son Michael Junior was a prominent hurler and footballer with St. Patrick’s for several years winning a South Senior Football medal in 1990, a South Junior Hurling medal and South and County Junior Football medals in 1991 and a South Intermediate Football medal in 1995. The next generation of the Crannitch family are already making a name for themselves as Ryan and Cian are prominent members of our u10 hurling and football teams and won South Tipperary u10 football medals in 2012 and 2013.
