The third annual Dualla Show will be held on Sunday, September 1, with the backdrop of historic Ballyowen House.
The natural amphitheatre makes it a spectacular setting for a programme of events full of entertainment, competitions and exhibitions.
One of this year’s big attractions will be the giant Sonic the Hedgehog hot air balloon - one of the biggest hot air balloons ever made. The hugely popular tractor pulling is back again this year drawing a large following from far and wide as all classes of machines test their horsepower. Also back is the livestock competition which made its mark last year and is attracting competitors from all over the country. Returning too will be the gymkhana and horse show.
A new event is the baking competition sponsored by Odlums. Other activities include off-road buggy rides, a dog show, threshing demonstration, monster auction, model plane display, donkey derby, emergency services display, vintage cars and the fiercely contested tug-o-war. Throughout the day there will also be a celebrity turnip pulping competition and the opportunity to compete with some household names!
Kids entertainment includes a megaslide, rodeo bull, wrecking ball, pony rides, face painting and magician! There’s also free bouncy castles and a tots area.
Almost 5,000 people passed through the gates last year raising money for charity. Visit www.duallashow.ie for full programme details and entry forms.
