Free diabetes education programme running in Clonmel

X-Pert, a free education programme for people with Type 2 Diabetes, is taking place at St. Luke’s Hospital in Clonmel from today, Wednesday.

Diabetes, particularly Type 2 Diabetes, is a major public health issue and is on the rise in Ireland.

HSE Community Dietitians in South Tipperary are delivering this award-winning group programme, which aims to inform people about their diabetes and enable them to better look after themselves and their condition.

The programme will continue for six weeks.
