Mullinahone News

St. Michael’s NS Mullinahone is now enrolling pupils who will start school in September 2014. Please call to the school for enrolment form. Office hours – call to Rosie Walzer from 9.30am to 1pm. After office hours call to Mairéad O’Halloran in the Infant classroom.

Juvenile GAA

U6s will return in mid-March. Anyone interested in registering please contact Josephine Britton. U8s are back in the hall each Friday from 6pm to 7pm.

Football and hurling every second week. U10s and U12s will be back in training from Tuesday, February 18, from 6.30pm to 7.30pm and then each Wednesday and Saturday from 4pm to 5pm. Texts will go out. U16s are back already and will be the first team in championship action in early March. All team management make sure that all players are registered. Mentors please ensure that they are Garda vetted. A juvenile GAA sponsored walk will be confirmed on a Sunday in late March/early April. Monthly meeting of Juvenile club will take place as usual on the second Thursday of the month, February 13, at 8.30pm. 
Local Lotto
The last local lotto draw took place on Monday, February 3. Numbers ere 7,13, 23, 24. There was no jackpot winner, but there were 2 match 3 winners. Congratulations to Josie Duggan and Frances Tobin who shared the match 3 prize of €150. Next draw is on February 17, when the jackpot could be worth €2,650.

Table Quiz
Mullinahone school boy soccer club will hold a table quiz in TJ Macs on Friday, February 21, at 9pm. A table of four will cost €20.

Mohober NS 
Three teams from Mohober NS took part in the Credit Union quiz in Callan on Saturday, February 1. Well done to all who participated. Congratulations to our U11 team of Shane Burns, Ellen Geeves, Bonnie Hehir and Adam O’Connell who took third place.

The Hennessy family, Kilvemnon, would like to thank everyone who supported St. Johns Cancer Ward in Crumlin, Dublin. The amount collected was €715.

Ladies Football
U16 Ladies football re-commenced on Tuesday, February 4, at 7.30pm in the GAA hall. Everyone is welcome especially new players. Come along to get fit and meet new friends.

Altar Group

A group of ladies of the parish perform a wonderful service each week by providing and arranging flowers on the altar and also cleaning the carpet. Two ladies form a team for two weeks. We would love to have more ladies involved.

Clothes collection
Bags of clothes can be left in to St. Michael’s NS before Wednesday February 12, in aid of the school and NCBI.
