St.Michael’s to host Cork side in last eight of Munster junior cup

Next Sunday March 9, all roads lead to Cooke Park, where we have a massive game, St. Michaels FC .v. Park Utd (Mitchelstown, Cork) KO 3pm – Munster Junior Quarter Final (last 8 of this prestigious competition).

Please put on your green and white colours of St. Michaels FC and support our lads for this huge game. We have been getting huge support at our games and we hope to see all our supporters out for our games this weekend as always your support is very appreciated and please keep following all our Saints Teams.           

We would also like to pass on our heartiest congratulations to our very own Paul Breen who captured the FAI Junior Player of the Year last Sunday night, on his third nomination for this brilliant Award. All at St. Michaels FC are absolutely thrilled for Paul and the Breens. It was very well deserved and great to see former Saints Man Shane Long presenting Paul with the Award. Shane Long also won International Goal of the Year.

Last weekend on March 1, our Youth Team fixture was cancelled. Next Saturday March 8, our Youths are away to Clonmel Town in a TSDL Youth League Fixture KO 2.30. Our 2nd Team on Sunday March 2, were at home at The Complex, Tipperary against Kilsheelin Utd in a vital Division 2 League fixture; bad loss of 3.0 which leaves the 2nd Team with an uphill struggle. On March 9, our B Team are at home at The Complex, against Redmondstown FC in a Division 2 League fixture KO 11.30.  Last Sunday saw our 1st Team play against Clonmel Celtic in a TSDL Premier League tie with a great result of 3.1 and goals from P Breen, D Slattery and M Buckley.

Under 15s played Clonmel Celtic at home in the league and had a very good win. Mark Furlong opened the scoring after five minutes. Willie Armshaw was outstanding in scoring a hat trick. The final score 4-0 to the Saints.Well done Saints player Paul Breen on winning the FAI junior player of the year award last Sunday.Fixtures: Under 12s away v Clonmel Celtic.Under 14s home v Peake Villa.Under 16s home v Clonmel Celtic.
