A charity cycle for Cluain Arann Community Nursing Unit took place at the Tipperary Golf club recently. The charitable, Folks on Spokes bikers, along with the Tipperary Wheelers, Dundrum Raparees, Kilmallock Cycle club and members of South East Mountain Rescue turned out to raise funds to buy two blood pumps for the unit with an aim of €5,000.

“We’re delighted to be here today and a few of our members had family that were looked after by Cluain Arann so it’s nice to give something back,” said Michael Ellard, Folks on Spokes. Denis Flynn, DIrector of Nursing, Cluann Arran was there to cheer on the cyclists.

Folks on Spokes have organised another charity cycle on April 26. To take part contact Michael: 087 223 6659.
