Where Carrick Town Council’s block grant funds will be spent

Carrick Town Council’s €161,300 Block Grant will fund the following projects:

Road resurfacing: €20,000 project at Ard Mhuire, €14,000 project at Clairin and other road surfacing at Dunbane, New Lane, Ash Pk.. and Sir John’s.

Footpaths repairs and upgrades: €15,800 at New Street, €9,800 at Town Park, a €8,300 at Sir John’s and €6500 at Ard Mhuire. Footpath projects also planned for William St., Greystone St., Mill St., Abbey Stores, Carrickbeg; Kennedy Tce. and St Nicholas Pk.

Public light repairs and upgrades: Projects will be carried out at Dunbane, Castle Lane, Ormond Crescent, Comeragh View, the grotto on Dungarvan Rd. and rear lane at Carraig Hotel.

Traffic calming ramps: These will be installed at Castle Pk., Ashpark, Ard Mhuire and Dunbane.

Other projects: €4000 on road lining, €3000 on manhole repairs, €3000 on improvements to signs, €3,800 on installing bollards at William St., opposite Woodland Heights junction and at ESSO Garage, Pill Road.
