Davin Club members elect new juvenile players committee

The annual general meeting for Carrick Davins juvenile members took place last week.

A new committee to run this section of the Club was elected at the meeting. Its chairman is Robert Butler, vice-chairman is Paddy Nagle, secretary is Niall Ryan and juvenile house committee members are Maurice Whelan, Raymond Waters, David McGrath, John Waters, Paddy Walsh, Philip Butler, Mo Brunnock, Shelly Ryan, Jimmy Ryan, Billy Mackey, Gerry Brennan and Alan Faulkner.

Juvenile selectors chosen are as follows: Maurice Whelan, Niall Ryan, Jimmy Ryan, John Waters, Raymond Waters, Alan Faulkner, Paddy Walsh, Philip Butler, Robert Butler and David McGrath.

Best of luck to the lads for the upcoming season.

Training continues on the all-weather pitch for adults. Details will be passed on to the players via text for times and dates.

Juvenile training continues in the Green School on Tuesdays from 6pm to 7pm for U-6s and from 7pm to 8pm for U-8s.

Training for U-10s and U-12s takes place on Fridays from 6.30pm to 8pm.

A meeting took place on Monday to decide training nights for U-14 and U-16 players.

Training as always is free and any new players are always welcome.

Davin Club members are reminded that membership fees are now due. The subscription for adults is €20 and for juveniles is €5.

Numbers drawn in the Davin Club lotto last week were 8, 22, 23 and 24.

There wasn’t a winner of the €2500 jackpot prize but there were six match three winners, who each received €35.

The Davin Club extends its sympathy to the O’Sullivan family of Ballylynch on the death of John and the Whelan family of Wilmer on the passing of Alice.

May they Rest in Peace.
