Cups Schools Visit

On Monday morning the McCarthy Cup, The Cross Of Cashel Trophy ( All Ireland U21 Hurling) , Corn Na Casca ( U21 Munster Hurling and Football) and the All Ireland U16 Hurling Cup visited Burncourt and Clogheen National Schools and received an enthuastic welcome from the kid. It was wonderful to see the large turnout of Club Members and parents in both schools. It was a pround moment for Barry O Brien to bring the array silverware back to his own parish. We would also like to sincerely thank Eire Og Anacarthy's Conor O'Brien for not only taking time out in bringing the McCarthy Cup but also on his words of wisdom for the kids. Also a big thank you to the teachers in both schools who facilited the visit and to John Cummins South GPO for attending.

U16 Hurling

Congratulations to our U16 hurlers who won their way to the County final in defeating Durlas Og B on Sunday last by 10-11 to 1-5. This was a great team preformance and hopefully they can add County honours to the South title already won in September. The final is expected to be played next weekend against Shannon Rovers from North Tipperary. Please keep an eye out for confirmation of fixture and your support would be greatly appreciated.

Lotto

Congratulations to Sarah Murphy who recently won our lotto jackpot of €5250. She our youngest jackpot winner ever and is the daughter of Jim and Mary Murphy Coolroe. Congrats also to Maureen Creed who sold the winning ticket.

Underage Training

Underage Training will continue for the next two Saturdays, the 16th and 23rd of October at 10am. We will then finish for the year and hopefully recommence in late Feburary 2011. We would like to thank all the kids and parents for their attendance week after week. The club hopes to run a coaching course over the winter months and it is hoped many parents will participate
