Tipperary may have been hanging on for victory over Cork in the Munster minor football semi-final at Thurles last Wednesday, but manager, Charlie McGeever was adamant afterwards that the best side won.

Charity auction in aid of brave Malachi

Tipperary lady footballers lose league semi-final to Armagh
Tipperary travelled to Mullingar for the Semi Final of the Tesco Homegrown National Football League Division 3 against Armagh. They had already met Armagh in the League in Silverbridge, Armagh on March 31 with only a point separating the teams on that day, Armagh 1-10 Tipperary 2-6. Armagh were without two experienced players, Sinead McCleary and Mags McAlinden and Sharon Reel went off injured that day but all were available for the Semi-Final with Sinead McCleary and Sharon Reel starting. Tipperary had three changes as well from the team that met Armagh, Jackie O’Gorman replacing Helen Kennedy in goal, Brid Condon for Sinead Delahunty in the back line and Aoife Ryan for Edith Carroll.
