Girls U16 County Final: The Commercials GFC U16 Girl’s will contest the County Final on Tuesday 8th. They face championship favourites Cahir in Ardfinnan at 7pm. This is a huge achievement for the girls who have worked really hard along with their coaches. In a brilliant semi-final last week they defeated a strong Templemore side. The girls will be well prepared for the tough task ahead and we appeal to all club members to show full support. Best of luck to all in the Final!

Defibrillator Course:   All club personnel are invited to attend an upcoming training course on the use of a defibrillator.  The club owns a defibrillator and many members are already trained up on its use.  However we need as many as possible trained on this vital piece of equipment which will maximise the chances of any potential victim on the club’s premises.  This course will be held on a date yet to be fixed but will be during May.  Therefore anyone interested should contact Ned Brophy at nedbrophy@eircom.net by Thursday May 10th which will allow those running the course to organise a night to suit the numbers .  It is in the interest of all club members that we have as many as possible trained up on the use of the defibrillator.  No previous First Aid knowledge is necessary so make a decision now to play your part and train up.

Adult Fixtures:   Please see website www.commercialsgfc.com for results on Monday’s Intermediate and Senior fixtures.

U14 Boys Peil Final:   The under 14’s went to within a whisker of winning the county Feile Peil Na nÓg only to go down by a single point after extra time in the final against J.K.Brackens.  This was a great effort from the lads but unfortunately luck was not on their side.  Well done to all involved and now the panel can look forward to the forthcoming championship.

Minors Win:   A victory over Moyle Rovers on a scoreline of 2-11 to 0-05 saw the minors maintain their 100% record and claim top spot in the legue section of the South Championship.  Two 1st half goals by full forward Evan Comerford set up this win as a 5 point advantage at half time was a little flattering.  A solid 2nd half saw Commercials consolidate their lead and run out easy winners in the end.

U8 Blitz:   Our under 8’s enjoyed the blitz run on Saturday morning by Kilsheelan .  Commercials had a large turn out at the blitz and a wonderful fun filled morning was enjoyed by all. The following players represented Commercials: Adam Brannigan, Oisin Forristal, Shane Ryan, Conor Parker, Kian O’Reilly, Cian Corcoran, Billy Judge, Lennon Foran, Ethan Coughlan, Ben O’Dwyer, David Traas, Sam O’Sullivan, Tadgh Sheehan, Matthew O’Ceallaigh, Jamie Hogan, Ruairi Leahy, TJ Flynn, Alex Creed, Niall Deeley, Adam Cooney, Shane O’Connell, Killian Fitzgerald, Killian McNamara, Conor Guiry and Dara O’Connor

Tipperary U14: Tipperary Under 14 girls were unlucky to lose out to Waterford in the Minster Final played in Fraher Field Dungarvan earlier today.  Commercials were represented by both Zoe Farrell and Aisling Deeley on the panel.  Well done to all involved.
