Minors face Nenagh in county final this Saturday

St. Mary’s Hurling Club

Our minor team had a comprehensive win over Cashel King Cormacs by a score 0f 3-12 to 1-6 in the County Minor Semi Final in Drombane last weekend. It was a very impressive team display and the lads are now worthy county finalists, up against Nenagh Eire Og. It takes place in Holycross next Saturday, November 24 at 2.00 pm. The club will be running a bus up for Juveniles on a first come basis at €3 each. If you want to book a place on the bus please ring Brendan Cagney at 086 2436893 by Friday. The club is appealing to all St Mary’s supporters, players and people in Clonmel to come to Holycross and support the team on Saturday and if you have club colours please wear them on the day

2012 AGM

The year 2012 Annual General Meeting of St Mary’s Hurling club will take place in Hearns Hotel, Parnell Street, Clonmel, on Saturday, December 8, at 7.30 pm.

Nomination paper, duly signed, should be returned with possible motions by Saturday, November 17, to the Runai/Secretary, John Kelly. Each nominee must have a proposer and a seconder.

Please ensure that when nominating a member that you have sought their permission to nominate them, and that they are willing to go forward. If you are letting your name go forward, please note that the positions will require active commitment and involvement. If you cannot make that commitment, please do not allow your name to go forward.

Training

For minors and under 21’s this Friday at 8.00 pm. Both panels please be there.

Under 8s and Under 6s

There is a real buzz up in the complex on Saturday morning with the indoor hurling as each age group run mini league matches and the various teams compete with each other for points.

The under 8 league stepped up a gear this week with the Red Leopards now 3 pts ahead. With changes in the chasing pack next weeks table might show a few surprises.

It continues this Saturday with training for under 8’s at 10 am and under 6’s at 11 am

Juvenile Club Competition

John Kennedy Motors, Cashel Road Roundabout, Clonmel are running a competition for members of Juvenile GAA Clubs to win a Training Session with Eoin Kelly or Tommy Walsh for their Club Team. To be in with a chance of winning the Club Member must write down, in not more than 20 words, why their team deserves to win and drop it into the Special Draw Box in our Showroom on our Family Day on Sunday, November 25. So managers of our various Juvenile teams please encourage your players to enter.

Christmas Raffle

Our club is running its annual Christmas draw and all St Mary’s supporters are encouraged to support it. Tickets are available from any committee member.

Scor
Scor time has come around again and the Scor na nOg South Final will take place on the towards the end of November. Members of the club from u/12 to u/16 are eligible to take part. Quiz Teams of three, Solo Singing, Recitation, Set Dancing, Figure Dancing, Ballad Groups, Instrumental Music and Novelty Acts are the competitions.
