The Moyle Rovers GAA Club Social will take place in Monroe on Saturday, 23rd February. Dinner will followed be by music from ‘The Legends’. It promises to be a great night and tickets are now available at 25 from any committee member.

Also on the night the South intermediate football champions (v Ballyporeen in Ardfinnan) and the county minor league champions (v Golden/Kilfeacle in New Inn) will receive their medals.

Under 21 football:

The under 21 football panel have commenced training and their next session is on Saturday night in Monroe. We need a full squad at each training session if we are serious about a good run in this year’s South championship.

The team are under the new management of Robbie Boland, Edmund Burke and Brian Mulvihill.

A ‘young’ team had a useful run-out on Sunday last at Monroe against Ballinacourty of County Waterford. We had some good performances in the first half but ran out of steam in the second.

Minor football:

The management team for the minor footballers this year comprises Mark Murray (manager), James Williams, Charlie Boland and Tony Lonergan.

Plans are underway for training sessions and some friendly games in the coming weeks.

The club thanks all who continue to play the lotto and we remind those interested in supporting same that weekly tickets can be had from any committee members at €2 each.
