Tipp senior footballers win again
Tipperary 1-15
UCC 0-10
Tipperary senior footballers qualified for the final of the McGrath Cup when they proved too strong for UCC at Clonmel on Sunday. It was Tipp’s third win in a row at the Clonmel venue and they return there again on Sunday for the decider against Cork.
The sides were level at 0-7 each at half time but Tipperary stepped up their performance in the second half against an under-strength UCC side and a goal from Barry Grogan in the 20th minute set them on their way to victory.
