Tipperary footballers lose to Antrim

Tipp senior football manager John Evans has resigned.

Tipp senior football manager John Evans has resigned.

Tipperary senior footballers have experienced the worst possible start to their National Football League (Division 3) campaign with two defeats out of two. Following their opening day defeat to Roscommon, hopes were high that they would pick up their first points at home to Antrim on Sunday but the long journey to Semple Stadium proved no problem to the Ulster side who won 1-13 to 0-13.

Manager John Evans now has a big job on his hands to keep the side out of a relegation dogfight. The next game is a difficult away assignment in Wexford on March 4.
