Ardfinnan's Samantha Lambert had a good game for Tipperary lady footballers in their win over Fermanagh on Sunday.

Tipperary lady footballers enjoyed a good win over Fermanagh at Templemore on Sunday, winning 4-12 to 2-10, to get their first league points in the new campaign.

The Tipperary goals came from Aine Staunton, Shauna Ryan, Sheelagh Carew and Yvonne Maher in a hugely impressive performance.

Gillian O’Brien was another star for Tipperary, kicking the opening point and hitting 0-4 over the hour.

The score at half time was 1-7 each but Tipperary can thank their goal keeper Helen Kennedy for keeping them in the game with some top class saves.

Tipperary upped their performance in the second half and ran out deserving winners.

Their next game is against Mayo on March 4
