Your chance to see Tipp stars of the future

Marlfield GAA

Bord na nOg coaches are presently availing of both Marlfield pitches to prepare the South Tipp under-13 development squads. The next action day on this front will be on Sunday morning next when two South sides will meet West Tipp teams. It is expected that both pitches will be used simultaneously and throw-in for each will be twelve noon. The public are very welcome to come along to view these sessions and they could well have an early view of some young lads who might go on to achieve great things in time to come. Beigh failte roimh gach aon duine.

It’s hoped to hold our A.G.M. before Christmas this year if at all possible, instead of in February as has been commonplace for the past few years. However with so many people working unsociable hours, doing shift work, etc, it may be hard to find a date suitable to all. At last week’s committee meeting it was agreed to leave it to the secretary and chairman to choose the best date posible. All members will be informed shortly.

Although we are now in the middle of the “off” season, there is still quite an amount of activity taking place at the Lawn. Clonmel Athletic Club recently used our venue to host the South Tipp Primary Schools Cross Country championships and on Saturday the clubhouse will be used as a polling station in the national referendum, whilst the venue is shortly to be use as location for the South Tipp Second Level Cross-Countrychampionships.
