Tipperary’s Rockwell College into schools rugby quarter final

Holders Rockwell College edged past Glenstal Abbey in the Munster Schools Senior Rugby Cup at Clanwilliam Park, Tipperary town on Wednesday. A try from winger Steve McMahon was the crucial score and gave Rockwell a 5-3 half time lead and that was also the final score after a scoreless second half.
Rockwell now meet Castletroy in the quarter finals.
The Rockwell team was : David Johnston; Alex Lynch, Rob Jermyn, Cillian Kiely, Steve McMahon; Aidan Moynihan, Dylan Megagh; Jack McCormack, Darragh Mulcahy, James Maxwell; Sean McCarthy, Darragh Foley; James Feehan, Sonny O’Dwyer, Aidan Butler.
Replacements: Sean McNulty, Robbie Lyons, William O’Dwyer, Cathal Ryan, Adam Suttcliffe, Aidan Barron, Sean O’Donoghue, Ronan Maher.
