Carrick-on-Suir athletics supremo Emby Walsh has been honoured for her contribution to the sport.

Carrick on Suir Motor Club member Craig Breen who has been named Waterford Person of the Year.

Top award for rallying star Craig Breen

No stranger to the podium, Carrick on Suir Motor Club member and World Rally star Craig Breen who has just last week positioned himself with an 18 point lead in the Super 2000 World Rally Championship after just two rounds has been announced the overall champion in his native county for the Waterford Person of the Year 2011.

Top of the table clash for hockey club

It was a top of the table clash for Cashel New Inn Hockey Club (CNHC) against Bruff on Saturday evening under lights in Rockwell. The support and atmosphere matched the intensity of the game. Everything was at stake for both teams here as the winner of this game would almost be guaranteed promotion next season - with a 4-1 win things are now looking good for CNHC.
