A group of parenting alone women from Knockanrawley Resource Centre are releasing their first music CD titled, 'She Moves' on Monday 8th March, which is International Women's Day (IWD).
The SHE group, as they are called, have written five songs through a community music process facilitated by local singer/songwriter Fran Murnane.

"Each song evokes a different emotion," explained Ruth Smith, group facilitator. "The women are astounded at their writing and singing ability that has been brought out of them in Fran's wonderful sessions."

One song is written about the frustration some of the women have felt when they come up against the court process or other official structures. Another is from a very personal point of view about losing a friend through cancer.

The CD is being launched at 12.30pm at Knockanrawley Resource Centre on Monday 8th March. The CD can be purchased for j5 with proceeds going to Cuan Saor Women's Refuge in Clonmel.

The Tipperary Women's Network are hosting the morning and wish to invite all who would like to come along to support the group in this exciting event. For more information contact Ruth Smith on 062 52688 or twn@eircom.net
