The Bulmers Comedy Festival in Clonmel is celebrating its sixth anniversary with its most impressive line-up yet with over 25 world class comedians performing over four nights this weekend from November 22 to 25.

The festival box office is at Hearn’s Hotel is selling the tickets or call 052 6121611 and online on www.clonmelcomedy.com.

For four days, O’Keeffe’s will become comedy-central as Clonmel hosts the finest, funniest and sharpest comedians at what is now regarded as one of the best boutique comedy festivals in Ireland.

The Bulmers Comedy Festival has grown since its beginning in 2007 to become a major event on the comedy circuit in Ireland, by regularly attracting big international names and introducing stars of the future to Ireland including The Rubberbandits, David O’Doherty, Tom Stade, Patrick Monahan, Simon Evans, Alun Cochrane, Tony Law and Edinburgh Best Newcomer 2012 Daniel Simonsen.

The organisers have trawled the comedy circuit, plucking the hottest tickets from the Edinburgh Festival and for 2012, have selected the cream of the comedy crop from Canada, Norway, USA, UK and Ireland.

The festival has two great and very different debuts with the Rubberbandits playing a special Midnight show this Friday, November 23, bringing their Hip Hop madness to Clonmel and Pat Shortt on Saturday 24 injecting some good old fashioned dance hall nostalgia into his madcap style show.

The much-acclaimed Canadian Tom Stade will take to the stage on Thursday night, with some first-class story-telling, which has helped establish him as one of the most sought after performers on the UK and international circuits.

Norway’s top stand-up, Daniel Simonsen is making huge waves in the UK and will bring his irrepressible wit to Clonmel on Friday.

Saturday welcomes Patrick Monahan, a Geordie of Irish/Iranian origin and winner of the 2011 ITV “Show me the Funny”. Comedy troupe, Foil, Arms and Hog is Ireland’s No.1 comedy sketch group and these smart, funny guys will make their Clonmel debut on Sunday night at O’Keeffe’s.

Special day tickets for multiple shows are available for only €30 with a limited number of weekend passes priced at €60.
