Tipperary Credit Union launch New Premier Agri Loan Range

The official launch of Tipperary Credit Unions “Premier Agri Loan Range” took place on Wednesday last, February 28, at Tipperary Credit Unions Head Office, located at Emmet Street, Tipperary Town.
Representatives from local and national farming organisations along with local businesses and members of Tipperary Credit Unions Board of Directors were in attendance.
Tipperary Credit Unions Agri team was also on hand to answer any questions on the new Agr loan range of products.
Pat Shanahan CEO of Tipperary Credit Union opened the launch and said that “Tipperary Credit Union recognises the importance of the agricultural sector to the local community, and that for the last 50 years, Tipperary Credit Union has supported the community with the provision of a top range of financial products and services.”
Mr Shanahan also said that while “the majority of our lending has been for personal reasons such as Car Loans, Personal Loans and Home Improvement Loans and it may surprise people to know that we also lend to local farmers. There is a perception that we are not active in the farming community or are not there to support their farming needs. We hope to change that perception by communicating effectively with the farming community that we are here to help and that we are here to support their farming needs.
“We are delighted therefore to announce that we are launching our new “Premier Agri Loan Range”. This new range is specifically designed to cater for local farmers financial requirements.
“Tipperary Credit Union held a number of discussions with local farmers and local agencies, to understand the financial needs of the agricultural sector. We appreciate that farmer’s need flexibility when arranging finance and so our new “Premier Agri Loan Range” has been designed with a number of flexible repayment options. Tipperary Credit Union gives the farmer the option of paying: Monthly, Quarterly, Half-Yearly, Yearly and also Seasonal Structured Repayments to suit their cash flow requirements.”
Pat Mac Cormack, President ICMSA, Martin Stapleton ,IFA, and Donal Mullane, Teagasc, all congratulated Tipperary Credit Union on the launch of the new Agri Loan range of products and welcomed the increased competition in the Agri Lending market.
