Dealz opens new store in Clonmel creating 20 jobs

Ireland’s largest discount retailer Dealz will celebrate the opening of their 64th store in Clonmel on Friday (March 30). Located at Showgrounds Shopping Centre, the store will include a dedicated space for affordable fashion brand Pep&Co

The opening of the store will create 20 new jobs and is the retailer’s second store to open in this catchment area, with the retailer already operating a store at 74 O'Connell Street, Old Bridge.

The store opening celebrations will take place from 9am on Friday morning where visitors will have the opportunity to win Dealz vouchers ranging from €5 to €50, with golden tickets for the first 500 people through the door. There will also be a chance to win the grand prize of a €200 voucher which can be spent on the new Pep&Co range. To add to the party atmosphere, there will be a DJ on site keeping customers entertained throughout the day as well as an appearance from Dougie the Dog.

Dealz, popular amongst the value savvy Irish consumer, is committed to expanding its store base across the country to create local jobs and bring great value to Irish consumers. Customers can choose from a wide range of well-known top brands and own label products as well as seasonal offerings including fantastic Easter decor and gifting ranges.

2018 has seen Dealz introduce fashion brand Pep&Co, creating a ‘shop-in-shop’ fashion outlet in selected Dealz stores nationwide. A total of 30 ‘shop-in-shop’ outlets will open before the summer, creating over 120 Irish jobs and taking Ireland’s leading discount retailer to new fashion heights. The joint venture of Dealz and Pep&Co demonstrates the brand’s commitment to the Irish market and their appetite to establish themselves as a major discount fashion retailer. In Ireland, prices at Pep&Co start at €1.50 with almost 60 percent of items at €5 or less, and it expects to keep quality high and prices low as it builds a business of real scale and volume.
