All roads will lead to Coláiste Dún Iascaigh from tonight, Thursday, November 24, as the much-anticipated annual musical will take to the stage for its opening night at 8pm.
This year the talented cast and crew will stage “Does your mother know?” and based on reports and past experience this promises to be a show to remember.
A cast of 130 will be involved from all year groups in the Coláiste, while many other students, staff members and parents will be involved back stage. The show will run from Thursday until Sunday night at 8pm nightly. Tickets at E12 per person and E40 for a family ticket (two adults and two children) are available from the Coláiste office (0527442828), members of the Parents’ Association, The Heritage and the ESSO Service Station in Cahir.
A reminder to parents and guardians that the Parent-Teacher meeting for second year students will be held in the Coláiste on Tuesday, November 29, from 4.15pm to 6.45pm.
The Coláiste will stage the annual Open Night on Monday, December 5. This is an ideal opportunity particularly for sixth class students and their parents to view the excellent facilities, meet the teachers and view a sample of student work. Visitors will see the fully equipped specialist rooms, classrooms equipped with the latest in technology, meet with staff members and discuss subject curricula, and see a display of student work in various subject area. The Coláiste also offers a wide range of cultural, artistic and sporting extra-curricular activities, and an overview of the range involved will be available. Attendance at the Open Night is available to all. Following on from the Open Night, an Information Night specifically for parents/guardians of incoming students will be held at a later date.
