Teddy Bears Picnic launches new amenity area

A lovely new picnic area has come to life, in Cahir, with a special Teddy Bear's picnic!

Park Pre School has renewed it's partnership with the Cahir Tidy Towns Group and South TIiperary County Council to create a new picnic and wildlife information area close to the Swiss Cottage.

The work has been carried out over the last few months by John O’Meara and his reliable crew as well as Seamus Conway from the Tidy Towns Group so that there is an area where families and friends can sit beside the river to enjoy a picnic or just have a chat.

Last Monday morning the boys and girls of Cahir Park Pre School had a lovely day out when they enjoyed a Teddy Bears Picnic under the watchful eye of Aishling, Christine and Jackie. Two real life Teddy Bears presented the kids with colouring books to mark the occasion. They got a little treat from John O’Meara too and they sang songs.

Cahir Park would like to thank Paul Conway and Jim Halpin from the Pre School who worked with John and Seamus to help clear this area to make a lovely pit stop on your walk to the Swiss Cottage.

The boys and girls from the Pre School have fairy doors already painted and will get these in place before the summer holidays.
