Club Plan:

Moyle Rovers GAA Club is in the process of developing a five year strategic club plan, which will map out the future direction of our club. As part of this process, we are holding a consultation club planning workshop on Monday, 25th February at 7.20 pm at Monroe, for all our members, officers, players and all in the community.

The purpose of this workshop is to give everyone in our community the opportunity to have their say in our future. This will be a workshop based event and will take no longer than two hours. Those present will discuss various topics in small groups, including coaching and games development, communication, facilities development etc.

Physical training:

Physical training for all adult grades takes place on Friday nights at 7.45.

County Scene:

We had two club players on the Tipperary senior team who played Waterford in the National Football League Division 4 game in Dungarvan on Saturday night last. Peter Acheson started at wing forward, put in a great display, and scored a fine point just before half-time. Alan Campbell played at wing back and did well. Philip Quirke was named to start at midfield but was forced out due to injury. Unfortunately Tipp went down by 2-8 to 0-9.

Draw the Joker:

Results for 10 February. Pauline Mulcahy Graigue, €100. Gerard Purcell Kilmore, €50. Paul Mullins Clerihan, €50. Fergus Dower, Barne, €25. This week’s Jackpot €7,300.

Thanks to all who continue to support the weekly lotto. Weekly tickets can be had from any committe member at €2 each.

Under 21 footballers win:

Our under 21 footballers began their South Tipp campaign with a win over Anner Gaels at Ned Hall Park, Clonmel, on Sunday morning last. We had some good displays throughout. Perhaps a highlight was one score in particular where, following James Cahill’s kick-out, three Boland first cousins combined to score a goal with no one else touching the ball as it went from one end of the field to the other. Luke fielded the kick-out and soloed before passing to Liam whose pass found Rian running through to finish in style. A moment in time! They can be rightly proud of the three boys in ETM Ville. Liam contributed seven points overall including a collector’s item - a point with the right foot!
