South Senior Football Championship Cahir was defeated by Fethard on Sunday in Monroe. Playing with a gale in the first half Fethard led at the interval by 3-4 to 0-2. In the second half Cahir scored 1-7 and ended up on the wrong side of a 3-6 to 1-9 score line.

U16 - Our U16 squad play Moyle Rovers in the South semi-final in “A” football this Tuesday night in Ballylooby at 6.45pm.
U12 - Our U12 squads were in action over the last couple of weeks. The B team have played Moyle Rovers B, Commercials B, Kilsheelan B, Ballylooby, Grangemockler, and Fr Sheehys. They now play Ardfinnan B this Thursday night in Duneske at 7pm. The A team have played Moyle Rovers Commercials and Killenaule and are to play Kilsheelan A this Tuesday in Duneske, at 7pm
U10 - Cahir hosted a South Board football Blitz Saturday last, May 7. Thanks to Moyle Rovers, Clonmel Commercials and Ardfinnan for travelling to Cahir. Each team played three games. We had 16 players on our squad. We played two teams against Moyle Rovers. The full squad played together against Ardfinnan and Clonmel.
The winners on the day for Cahir were our wonderful supporters who shouted cheered and encouraged even when things weren’t looking bright. Thanks to all. U8 - On Wednesday, April 27, Cahir Boys under 6 and 8’s were in Boherlahan for a challenge hurling match against Boherlahan/Dualla club. Both teams played well and the Under 6’s really enjoyed their first challenge match.
On Saturday, April 29, Cahir Boys under 8’s took part in a Football Blitz in Clonmel against Commercials, Moyle Rovers and Ardfinnan. The team played well, proving themselves against tough opposition.
Training continues each week in the Duneske from 7pm to 8pm with hurling on Tuesday and football on Thursday.
There will be a juvenile club meeting this Wednesday night, May 11, at 9pm in the club rooms in the main field.
