Silver medal winners were:-
Powerstown Lisronagh U16 Boys Basketball team played Kilmallock, Limerick in the semi final. This was an brilliant display of team work. The Limerick lads had a strong team and it took a few minutes for the Tipperary boys to come to terms with them. As the game went on our boys really improved with some great baskets from Aaron Fennell and Sean McNulty. They also defended brilliantly with Aaron O’Connor, Aaron Fennell and Bill Johnston having an excellent game and victory going to Tipperary. They now had to take on Spa-Barrow-Fenit, Kerry in the Final. The Kerry boys were very clever on the basketball court but this bunch of Tipperary boys fought till the very end, with a couple of great three pointers from Ben Murray, Aaron Fennell and Bill Johnston, but unfortunately the Kerry Side were the better team on the day. But the Tipperary boys did extremely well coming home with Silver Munster Medals. Well done to Team Captain Aaron O’Connor, Aaron Fennell, Bill Johnston, Sean McNulty, Stephen Quirke, Joss Murray, Darragh O Connor, Tadgh Fitzgerald, Ben Murray. Manager Jean O’Connor. Coach Liam Fennell.
