Candlelit Christmas concert in Clonmel church

Some members of the Belle Voci choir, who will present their annual Candlelit Christmas concert at St. Joseph's Church, Ferryhouse, Clonmel at 8pm next Thursday, December 21.

Award-winning local choir, Belle Voci, will present their annual Candlelit Christmas Concert in St. Joseph’s Church, Ferryhouse, Clonmel, next Thursday, December 21st at 8pm.  

The concert will feature performances by guests including local singer Sean Callaghan and musician Dave Corbett.

Belle Voci were highly commended when they participated in last month's Sligo Choral Festival. 

The choir are grateful to Tipperary County Council for a grant which helped towards their expenses for attending this event.

Admission to the Christmas concert is free, with donations gratefully accepted on behalf of the Friends of Bridgewater House and Knocklofty Rural Day Service.  This is a local service under the auspices of Rehab which provides services for people with physical and intellectual disabilities.

Under the musical direction of Eamon O’Malley, the choir will perform the Irish premiere of the music of renowned composer and conductor, Bob Chilcott - ‘The Midnight of your Birth’ - a charming collection of five carols for upper voices and piano.

The choir are grateful to Fr. Paddy Pierce for the use of St Joseph’s Church, Ferryhouse, as the concert venue and for rehearsals on Monday evenings.
