Stars in your Eyes raises more than €4,000 for women's refuge in Clonmel

“Adele” (Sylvia O'Sullivan), the winner of Cuan Saor's Stars In Your Eyes show held at the Clonmel Park Hotel, with hosts The 2 Johnnies.

Cuan Saor women's refuge held a very successful Stars in your Eyes concert at the Clonmel Park Hotel in aid of the refuge and the Evan Hickey Brain Surgery Fund.  

It was a fantastic night from start to finish, hosted by The 2 Johnnies.  

Eleanor Brannigan of Elle Academy of Dance, along with a group of local women, opened the show, dancing to ‘Here come the Girls’, while Kool School performed an energetic piece during the interval.  

However it was the amazing participants who stole the show.  "Acts" included Dolly Parton, Adele, Grease, Finbar Furey, Sonny and Cher, Freddie Mercury, Tina Turner and Elton John.

Judges Padraig Byrne, Mattie McGrath and Willie Bunn crowned Adele (Sylvia O’Sullivan) as the winner.

Joe Hickey, Evan Hickey’s father, thanked everyone for their support for Evan. He acknowledged the important work that Cuan Saor do in the community and said Evan and his family wished to donate the funds back to Cuan Saor.

Cuan Saor are grateful to all who supported this event in any way. 

As always the community and businesses of Clonmel and surrounding areas were very generous and a total of €4,130 was raised.
