Clonmel charities boosted by generosity of local businessman

Clonmel Rotary Club has paid tribute to the generosity of a local businessman who is making a significant contribution to local causes this Christmas.

Larry O’Keeffe Furniture Store, Clonmel, honoured its commitment to assist Rotary charities by presenting a €3,000 cheque to Rotary president Brendan Nyhan.

Mr Nyhan warmly welcomed the donation and applauded the innovative involvement of those who participated in supporting deserving local charities.

Rotary, at local level have been very active in organising fundraising events to make a difference by contributing to organisations like South Tipperary Hospice, St Vincent de Paul and Clonmel Soup Kitchen. 

Mr Nyhan said - "We are very conscious of the increased demand on the work and services which these charities experience, particularly at Christmas time. 

"The Regal Centre businesses, led by Larry O’Keeffe Furniture Store, deserve the support and appreciation of the local community for their concern and interest in assisting the local causes which Rotary have a long term commitment to.

"Rotary international are committed to global, national and local projects and the Rotary Club of Clonmel wish to thank Larry O’Keeffe Furniture Store for their most generous donation".
