Tipperary roads are closed following flooding

Flooding has caused roads to close.

As Tipperary continues to be battered by heavy wind and rain, reports are coming in of road closures.

The L3501-3 and L3506-2  from Goatenbridge to Newcastle are closed due to flooding.

Also closed is the L3313-0 at Skeheenarinky.

The N76 main Clonmel to Kilkenny road is barely passable in many areas - there is deep surface water at several points on the road and County Council staff are working on the route.

The roadway in the South Lodge area is particularly treacherous. Mud and stones are being washed down across the road from field gateways.

AA Roadwatch are also reporting spot flooding in the Fethard area.

Status Yellow alerts for both wind and rain in Tipperary remain in force.
