Families are asked not to visit the wards outside visiting time and may be requested to leave by staff or security. Where a patient is very ill, family may request through the Clinical Nurse Manager to have extended visiting rights.
Children - In the interest of patient’s well-being and to prevent / control of infection, we ask that children under 12 years of age are not brought onto the wards, unless arranged in advance with the Ward Manager / Nurse-in-charge.
Visiting any ward outside of these hours is at the discretion of the Ward Manager. Visitors are asked to have consideration for all patients and staff, keeping noise to a minimum so as to contribute to patients’ recovery. The number of visitors should not exceed two per patient at any given time.

Due to the nature of ICU visitors may be asked to wait whilst essential care is delivered to patients, this may be during visiting times. A Visitors Room is situated at the entrance to ICU, this is a shared room for all patient visitors.
When visiting ICU, Ward Managers should be asked if visiting is appropriate depending on the patient’s condition - Visiting for immediate family only.
