Knife brandished in Carrick on Suir filling station raid

A  male entered a Carrick on Suir filling station this morning brandishing a knife.

Gardai investigating the raid  on the Primo filling station in John Street  have appealed to the public for their assistance.

The raid took place at 9.42am this morning( Wednesday 30th May)  when a lone male entered the filling station and brandished a knife.He was wearing a balaclava, a black hoodie and grey tracksuit bottoms.He left the premises and made his getaway on foot  through the Swan GAA field.Nobody was injured in the raid.

“It was a very busy area at that time of the morning with a lot of passing traffic and we would apeal to anybody who were in the vicinity of John Street   from 9.30   to 9.45 to contact  us” said Supt William Leahy.
