Clonmel Community Training Centre presents certificates to proud learners

Learners who attended Clonmel CTC (Community Training Centre)  graduation day in Raheen House, made both the centre and their families proud of their achievements.

This celebration and presentation of QQI and VTCT certificates recognises the learners’ success in a variety of disciplines, hairdressing, beauty, professional cookery, barbering, manual handling, occupational first aid, business english, maths, health and fitness, textiles and HACCP.

In addition these achievements encouraged the development of other essential skills and talents necessary for progression in life and into further education and work.

Two learners spoke from the heart on the day, Henri Campbell (Pathway to Employment) and Lauren Guirey (Diploma in Beauty), giving due regard to the CTC’s values of, creating a welcoming environment, strong belief in the learner, respect for difference, open communication and recognition of individual talents. 

To encourage learners, special awards were presented for exceptional performance in each training programme.  Two Dermalogica Scholarships were presented to Addia Norris and Lauren Guirey who showed the most potential to achieve in the beauty industry.

The service has always provided its learners with a healthy and reasonably competitive environment to help them to grow in every area of activity, be it academic, skills development, personal development, sports and recreation or any other extra-curricular interest.

It strives to give opportunities to  learners so that they realise their true potential.  On the day, learners Adam Mc Namara and Brandon Kennedy added “MAGIC” to the day by entertaining the invited guests with their musical performance.

 Chairman, Darren Ryan congratulated all the recipients on their certification achievements.  He thanked the board members, management and staff for taking Clonmel CTC services to new heights through offering new programmes i.e. professional cookery, Diploma in hairdressing, Diploma in beauty, barista, etc. creating a distinct path to further education and the world of work.

He extended a special thanks to John Murphy (Community Project Officer), Tipp ETB for their continued support, to the parents and guests for joining and supporting the celebration on the day and to Raheen House for the refreshments, all making the occasion a huge success.
